The IMS 6dB 50 ohm power splitters were created specifically for applications that are too sensitive for off the shelf components. These devices employ a proprietary core design that can be quickly and inexpensivly adapted to individual circuit requirements.

Customer requirements are combined with the core design to adjust the performance of the splitter for optimum compatibility with it's host circuit.

Circuit construction is surface mountable microstrip on alumina. Tooling costs are held to a minimum.

Below is an example of specifications for a power splitter designed for a specific customer. This splitter was matched to the client circuit mechanically and for optimum VSWR.

  • Attenuation (by design): 6dB +/- 0.5dB (each input)

  • Frequency Range: 0 to 20 GHz*

  • Input Power Rating**: 1 Watt

  • Load Power Rating**: 0.5 Watt

  • Input VSWR: 1.3:1 or better

  • Impedance: 50 ohms input/ output

  • Dimensions: 0.098" x 0.098" x 0.020"

  • Substrate material: alumina

    • Terminations Available:

  • Gold with backplane
  • Platnum silver with wraps
  • Platnum silver with backplane

    • * Device can be used and tuned into any 50 ohm system between DC and 20 GHz with an approximate 10-15% bandwidth while maintaining a 25dB or better return loss. ** Base plate temperature 100 deg. C or less.
