Effective April 2005 the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 3112:2000 fifth edition will go into effect. It requires the construction of all plugs under the standard to have partially insulated pins.

The Interpower™ Australian 10 amp power cords and cordsets now come with partially insulated pins to minimize safety hazards and to be proactive in the compliance with this new standard. These new insulated pins will be on our standard and hospital-grade plugs. These power cords and cordsets are rated up to 10 amps with service at 230VAC with the Department of Fair Trading approval.
