Product Announcement from James Eagen Sons Co.
Drawing a length of bar stock over a mandrel forms our helicoid flighting. When a helicoids flight is formed the bar stock crushes, that is, it decreases in width, expands at the section next to the axle and decreases at the outside. The amount this crushes varies with the size of the flight.
James Eagen Sons Company has produced flights from 3/8" OD up to 150" OD in carbon steel, stainless steel, manganese steel, alloy steel, abrasion resistant steel, platinum, nickel alloys, and others. Custom flights and feedscrews come in an infinite variety of styles, sizes, materials and applications.
Whether you need to fill a blanket order with a long-term contract or have an emergency requirement that demands immediate attention, James Eagen Sons is ready and willing to help.
