Jergens, Inc. has announced a CD featuring it Ball Lock™ mounting systems. The disc is intended to demonstrate for viewers how typical fixturing examples can benefit from the system. A number of horizontal and vertical machining center uses are shown. The disc is free to interested parties.

The patented Ball Lock™ Mounting System is used to locate and lock fixture plates to subplates. It frees valuable machine time by providing quick change capability. Employing the system generally takes less than one minute, and requires only a few turns of a set screw. Repeatability is ±.0005", which minimizes or eliminates the need to indicate fixture position. The Ball Lock system securely holds plates together with working loads up to 20,000 lbs.
