Jilson, the exclusive United States distributor of Steinco casters, announces the release of the Square Wheel Caster. Steinco's innovative twin-wheel caster series 551D is designed for hospital and electro-medical equipment and features:

· A total locking brake with double brake pedals for easy access, regardless of caster position

· A ramp integrated into the pedal on the leading side of the caster to prevent the wheels from becoming trapped in elevator thresholds and to assist the wheels over door sills

· Rotating cable guards mounted on the side of each wheel gently move cables, wires and tubes away from the wheels as the caster is moved. The cable guards are molded from polyurethane, which will flex under tension, allowing the guard to rotate, assisting the caster over the obstacle. This feature is particularly beneficial in operating rooms.
