Anode Screw Jacks
Machine screw anode jacks from Joyce precisely lower aluminum smelting anodes-and they're available in the configuration your system requires, with correct jack castings, base dimensions and screw ends.
Joyce anode jacks are "overbuilt" to handle overload conditions and prevent damage from "highjacking". For screw protection, choose aluminized fiberglass boots rated to 450° F or traditional aramid fiber wiper packing rated to 500° F. Viton® dual spring lip seals protect the input shafts: one seal retains grease in the housing while the other excludes alumina dust.
Heat treated alloy steel worm shafts, aluminum bronze worm gears and tapered roller or ball bearings help assure long-lived durability. Select forged or fabricated rod eyes, depending upon your requirements.
Compared to ordinary jacks, you get extended gear life thanks to a 27% increase in gear center distance. Machine cut threads provide lead accuracies of better than .002" per foot (compared to up to .010" for rolled threads) to allow precise anode positioning throughout the travel range. All Joyce anode jacks are self locking under all load conditions for an extra measure of control and safety.
