Metric Screw Jacks

Joyce Metric Machine Screw Jacks, series MWJ, are available in four common sizes 10, 25, 50, and 100kN.

Joyce MWJ screw jacks include industry standard metric lifting screw diameters and pitches. All mounting hole locations, diameters, and fasteners are fully metric. These screw jacks are commonly used in OEM machinery manufactured in the US and shipped to other countries around the world. Upright or inverted, these precision screw jacks operate at full capacity whether the load is in tension or compression. All MWJ screw jacks are self-locking under full lifting capacity.

Heat treated alloy steel worm shafts, aluminum/bronze worm gears and tapered roller or ball bearings provide rugged reliability.

Double extended worms shafts are standard. Single extended worm shafts are available with right or left hand extension or additional length. Joyce MWJ screw jacks are available in translating screw (shown), rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) and keyed designs. All screw jack designs can be fitted with a protective boot. MWJ screw jacks are available with one of four standard screw ends or special ends to meet your requirements.

An optional anti-backlash feature compensates for thread wear, assuring minimum play between the lifting screw and worm gear for smooth, precise operation. Screw jacks equipped with the anti-backlash feature are rated for full capacity under static conditions
