The new K-Tron Bulk Solids Pump (BSP) feeders have been specifically designed and engineered to provide gentle, precise feeding of free-flowing pellets, granules, flakes, powders and friable products.
The K-Tron Process Group continues to expand the company's Bulk Solids Pump (BSP) feeder line, now offering four models that can be configured as volumetric or loss-in-weight feeders. Loss-in-weight BSP feeders can utilize either a scale or three-point suspension weighing. All loss-in-weight BSP feeders utilize K-Tron's exclusive Smart Force Transducer (SFT) weighing technology. The BSP feeder can also be configured as part of K-Tron's new K4G continuous gravimetric blender, where it utilizes single-point suspension weighing.
K-Tron's BSP feeder does not use the usual screws/augers, belts or vibratory trays to convey the material. It utilizes positive displacement action to feed free flowing materials with astounding accuracy, offering uniform discharge, consistent volume and gentle handling. The BSP feeder has vertical rotating discs that create a product lock-up zone conveying the material smoothly from storage hopper to discharge outlet, achieving true linear mass flow. With no pockets or screws and only one moving part, the compact feeder is cleaned in seconds, making it ideal for applications with frequent material changes.
Both gravimetric and volumetric versions of the BSP are available for free flowing materials, such as pellets and granules. The BSP is available in four models. The BSP-100 will feed from 2 to 400 cubic dm/hr (0.07 to 14 cubic ft/hr). The BSP-135 will feed from 22 to 4400 cubic dm/hr (0.8 to 155 cubic ft/hr). The BSP-150-S with feed rates of 34 to 6700 dm/hr (1.2 to 237 ft/hr) and the BSP-150-P from 46 to 9000 cubic dm/hr (1.6 to 318 cubic ft/hr.)
