The WATERMARK® reagent line encompasses all Karl Fischer methodologies: Volumetric Single Reagents Two-Component Reagents Coulometric Vessel (anode) and Generator (cathode) reagent solutions for: • General Applications • Water determination in aldehydes/ketones Diaphragmless Vessel Solution Pyridine-Free reagents designed to meet all your needs. Volumetric Reagents Single Solution Method High volume users find that this product fits their needs perfectly. Like other single solutions on the market, this option in the WATERMARK® line works with methanol and other solvents and mixtures of the customer's choice. We offer you two titer strengths: 5 mg/ml and 2 mg/ml. Just pick the one that fits your applications.

Two-Component Reagent Products Are you re-calibrating your titer frequently? We've got your answer – a patented pyridine-free system that uses non-hygroscopic reagents! This system, for use in volumetric titration, has two components: Titrant: WATERMARK® Stable Titrant in 0.50 mg/ml, 1.00 mg/ml, 2.00 mg/ml, and 5.00 mg/ml. Solvents (Working Medium): WATERMARK® Karl Fischer Solvent (methanol-based) item # 1610 and WATERMARK® Karl Fischer Solvent (methanol-free) item # 1608 or #1609. We offer the titrant with the lowest titer strength on the Karl Fischer market: 0.5 mg/ml, for samples of very low water content – perfect for labs that don't have a coulometric titrator. Our products maintain a titer strength to +/- 0.05 mg/ml, thus making them the most advanced and stable Karl Fischer reagents available today! The Big Switch A technical advantage of our single solution reagent is what we refer to as "The Big Switch." WATERMARK® single solution reagents are typically used with methanol, but are formulated to work with inert and non-reactive solvents to quickly and accurately measure moisture in aldehydes and ketones. Just exchange the vessel solvent with hexane, for example, and you're ready to check for moisture in ketones. When complete, just switch back to methanol and you're ready to do your economical, routine analysis again. This can be a real time and money saver when analysis of moisture in aldehydes and ketones becomes an issue. Aldehyde and Ketone Working Medium (methanol-free) item #2994. This chloroethanol and chloroform solvent system allows fast and very reproducible titrations for your aldehyde and ketone analysis. It also dissolves non-polar samples such as oils and waxes. The Big Switch II (Too) "The Big Switch" can also be done using the GFS Two- Component system. If ketone and/or aldehyde testing is not commonplace in your lab, it may be more cost effective to use WATERMARK® solvent #1610 for your daily operation. However, the technical advantage of the two-component system is to simply exchange the solvent #1610 with the WATERMARK® methanol-free KF Solvent #1608 or #1609. There is no need to change the titrant because of the special formulations. It is simple, fast and unbelievably accurate! Why waste valuable lab time if you don't have to?
