Kuntz has developed innovative medical tube processing systems that facilitate automating coiling, taping and cutting operations using sophisticated, yet simple mechanisms. Kuntz' model QC 3000 servo-driven Quill Coiler operates at high speed, is robust and reliable. The machine offers simple PLC controls, a Touchscreen panel and a quiet gear belt coiling drive. The Quill Coiler processes tubing from 1/8" to ΒΌ" O.D. in coil diameters from 2" to 5" or as specified by customer. The system consists of a multi-position indexing dial fitted with winding pins arranged in a triangular or square configuration. The pin assembly, or coiling nest, also features a simple means of ejecting the completed coil from the coiling nests. The cutter mechanism features a smooth sinusoidal slice action motion for clean, square cuts. The taping station is engineered with a simple tension regulated payout and elegant roller clutch tape feed. BENEFITS:
- Simplicity, low maintenance requirements and competitive price.
- Adjustable tension control of tubing payout with provisions for static elimination.
- High operating speed (up to 45 coils per minute) ensures high production throughput and profitability.
Other unique tube processing designs offered by Kuntz include a Tubing De-Reeler Mechanism for unwinding PVC tubing. This inexpensive unwind unit can be used with manual cut and assembly lines, or as input to automatic tube handling machines. A variety of other special production systems are available as well.
