The acronym SCSI stands for Small Computer System Interface and is pronounced "skuh-zee". It is a communication standard that was commonly used for connecting computers to peripheral devices such as scanners and CD drives, as well as hard disks and tape drives. Over the years (since SCSI was standardized in 1986) the interface has evolved to be faster and use smaller connectors. For that reason, you may have an application that uses any of the SCSI-1, SCSI-2, SCSI-3, or SCSI-5 standards. The easiest way to tell what you need is to look at the connector types.

Although SCSI is a legacy standard now, having been largely replaced by standards such as USB, SATA, and eSATA, there are still a lot of peripheral devices in use that require SCSI communications. To meet that need, L-com carries a wide variety of SCSI cables, adapters, and terminators.

In addition to the above standard offering, L-com can do custom SCSI cables with modest minimum order requirements.
