The Spline Ball Ionizer (SBI®) uses the same technology as the DAS®, however, the SBI is modular and smaller than the DAS. The SBI is not custom engineered specifically for each site's needs, so it costs less and is generally used to augment a lightning prevention system. SBIs are used with SBTs® (Spline Ball Terminals) in lightning risk-reduction systems.
