The actuator which form an important part of the LINAK product range, consists of 3 principal elements:

· Motor

· Gear

· Spindle including nut

LINAK has more than 20 years' experience in developing and manufacturing 12 VDC and 24 VDC actuators. The motors of the actuators are delivered by experienced suppliers. The motors are customized versions that have been developed for each specific actuator model. The gear between the motor and the spindle is developed by LINAK to achieve an optimum function of the actuator. The spindle part and the nut form the heart of the actuator and these parts of an actuator are always developed and produced at LINAK (except ball screws). During the last 10-15 years LINAK has been one of the leading manufacturers of linear actuator systems for the hospital and care sector and latest the first successfully to develop and manufacture a rotary actuator for this sector. Among other things LINAK has developed the following possible options for actuators:

· Safety nut

· Splines and electric splines (the actuator can only push)

· Quick release systems

· Quick release with free-wheeling

· Pulse system (reed switch) for parallel and memory systems

These options apply to the types LA28, LA31, LA32 and LA34 (system actuators). LINAK has developed other options and accessories over the years based on our customers' needs:

· Potentiometer

· Optical encoder

· Limit switch system (LSD)

These options apply to actuators for the industry.

The industry and the health care sector are constantly increasing their demands on actuator performance. Therefore end-stop switches have been integrated into LINAK's latest actuators. This ensures improved performance and longer life of the actuator. This applies to the types: LA12, LA31 and LA34. External limit switches (LSD) can be supplied for the actuators LA22 and LA30.

Many LINAK actuators can be delivered in protection classes up to IP66 i.e. splash and waterproof. LINAK's actuator range offers lifting capabilities ranging from 200 N - 10000 N.

The DESKLIFT DB1 actuator is specially designed for easy integration in the customer's guidance's, enabling optimum freedom of design to be achieved for desk applications. The DB1 has a very small installation dimension. The DB1 is compatible with the CBD1 control box.
