Since The Tintometer introduced the PFX Automatic range of color analysis equipment we have witnessed a marked increase in sales over visual assessment systems. Many major organisations and establishments are now investing in systems for color control for a variety of processes. These include a huge investment by the US Government, no less, who now have nearly 30 Lovibond ® PFX instruments for the testing of Fuel products in the field. In Russia one order was received for 32 Lovibond ® PFX Instruments, installed in Gas Pumping stations to asses the color of lubricant oil to optimise the time taken before changing, improving down time. 30 + Universities in Africa invested in the Lovibond® PFX range to test the color of Sugar Cane and this year investment in color control for the Palm oil and edible oil industry has more than doubled.

Visual Color control systems still have a part to play in the many color using industries, they are usually a low cost investment and give a direct visual comparison to a color scales such as Lovibond®, AOCS- Tintometer, ATSM etc…, being relatively easy to understand and use.
