Lumen Dynamics introduces the new OmniCure® LED Light Meter which measures power and irradiance from a UV LED light source, directly at the cure site. The OmniCure® Light Meter is calibrated at 10nm intervals from 320nm up to 700nm which allows the ability to select the specific wavelength from a UV LED light source to obtain accurate measurements which are traceable to NIST. This latest invention is an illustration of OmniCure®'s ingenuity and ability to continue offering a high level of process control that customers count on.

"With the recent advancement in LED technology in both power levels and available wavelengths, there has been a notable shift towards LED light sources from arc-lamp," stated Allan Firhoj, President and CEO of Lumen Dynamics. "However, measurement and control of these light sources has been in its infancy creating a significant technology gap. Our new OmniCure® LED Light Meter represents a revolutionary step forward to closing this industry gap by providing a critical process measurement and validation tool specifically designed for UV curing assembly processes."

The OmniCure® LED Light Meter is ergonomically designed with a slim profile sensor that fits in a fixture or confined space for adaptability to various assembly manufacturing environments. With its peak hold function, the LED Light Meter can easily measure narrow beam patterns over a broad dynamic range offering flexibility to measure from OmniCure®'s LED curing systems and other UV LED light source available on the market.

Engineered with a single sensor to measure peak irradiance and a unique calibration process for measuring multiple discrete wavelengths, the OmniCure® LED Light Meter is able to capture the narrow spectral distribution of a LED source for consistent and accurate measurements. Process engineers worldwide will now be able to quantify this new, emerging LED technology and its evolution within the UV curing industry. The OmniCure® LED Light Meter is calibrated according to industry standards traceable to NIST and NRC.

Lumen Dynamics will be showcasing the new OmniCure® LED Light Meter at the MD&M West Conference in Anaheim, CA at booth #2227 on February 8 to 10, 2011. Also at MD&M West, the company will be participating at the Innovation Briefs in a featured presentation discussing New LED light sources for High Throughput, Low Temperature UV Assembly of Medical Devices to be held at 12:30pm in Theater 2 - Booth #3541.
