Preventing downtime is essential to critical networks. A standard, unprotected patch panel leaves sensitive equipment vulnerable to transients, lightning and surge over voltages. MCG's new protected patch panels Models 612, 624 and 648 keep equipment safe. These multi-port protectors are 19" rack mountable and are available in 12, 24 and 48 port versions. Each protected port contains an IDC-110 punch down block in the back and an RJ45 connector in the front. Covering CAT 6 applications, as well as telco and ISDN, the units install easily and provide years of reliable protection. Protectors respond in less than 5 nanoseconds. Protects either all pins, or CTR 4 pins. Standard clamp voltages range from 7.5 to 60 to 240 volts, current is 50 – 100 Amps. Height ranges from 1-4U. UL 497B; ROHS compliant unless noted.
