Modems and telephone equipment are easily damaged by transients caused by lightning and switching surges. The DLP-4.71 installs in minutes between the telephone/data line and the sensitive equipment to provide quick and dependable protection for I/O ports. For particularly severe transient conditions, model DLP-4.71 incorporates a one-two punch of fast-acting Avalanche diodes with brute force gas diodes for substantially greater heavy-duty diversion capability.
Protection circuitry on the DLP-4.71 automatically resets after the transient has passed. The DLP-4.71 handles hit after hit without degradation.
