The MultiGas™ 2030HS (High Speed) Gas Analyzer is an FTIR-based analyzer specically designed for monitoring automotive, diesel and catalyst combustion exhaust at 5 Hz sampling frequencies. Capable of simultaneously monitoring 20+ traditional and non-traditional combustion gases at up to 5 measurements per second, the system's patented, fast-scanning FTIR provides high resolution (0.5 cm-1) data even at 5 Hz. Detection limits are typically below 1 ppm at 5 Hz.
This high speed analyzer can speciate NOx, hydrocarbons, as well as quantify NH3 and N2O, which traditional analyzers do not monitor. Combustion exhaust gases flow through heated gas lines to the 200 ml gas cell (calibrated at both 150ºC and 191ºC) eliminating condensation, while flow rates up to and above 100 L per minute prevent diffusion and measurement delay. The small volume gas cell has an optical path length of 5.11 meters, resulting in excellent analytical sensitivity.
The single analyzer offers reduced cost of ownership and maintenance, and is expandable to gases beyond those traditionally quantified. Its high-speed, multi-gas analyzing capabilities are ideal for use by auto, diesel and catalyst manufacturers to measure transient components in the advanced chemistries and methodologies used to meet new federal emissions regulations.
