Microscopy combined with digital photography allows macroscopic and microscopic images of materials to be captured and manipulated to observe defects, measure features and characterize the distribution of constituents that cannot be seen by the naked eye. We'll help you see what's really happening!
Digital imaging can highlight and document important specimen features. Examples of how image analysis can be employed includes:
Characterization of welds and brazes:
Evaluation of platings and coatings:
Analyze constituent distribution profiles:
The M+P Labs' imaging capabilities include Photomacrography in magnifications up to 50X and Photomicrography up to 1000X using brightfield, darkfield, polarized light or differential interference contrast imaging.
State-of-the-art image calibrated analysis software
Versatile image processing and analysis software and automated stage microscopy are available for rapid quantitative image analysis of large or intricate cross sections. Once a program is developed, statistics can be generated detailing the size and distribution of constituents or defects. Images are captured via digital photography with a wide dynamic range.
Additional analysis and testing capabilities available at M+P Labs include:
The chemical and thermal analysis capabilities available at M+P Labs can be used in conjunction with mechanical, metallurgical, microstructural and electrical property evaluation capabilities to help solve your most challenging materials and processing problems or qualify products for use or sale.
· Chemical & compositional characterization
· Electrical testing (insulating materials)
· Scanning electron microscopy/electron microprobe
· Specimen extraction & machining
M+P Labs Quality Assurance:
The rigorous quality assurance requirements mandated by these industry quality standards: ISO 17025, Nadcap (aerospace and defense industry) and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B (nuclear utility industry) are applied to each and every job we perform, regardless of whether it requires conformance to any of these accreditations. The accuracy of the results produced by our staff of highly-experienced analysts allows our clients to make critical decisions based on precise and reliable information.
