Product Announcement from Max Machinery, Inc.
Max has added a higher temperature configuration to the 290 Series of flow meter transmitters. By isolating the microprocessor from the elevated process temperatures, Max has extended the upper limit of their transmitters with a 225°C rated version.
The addition of a remotely mounted PCA allows the Model 295 to maintain the electronic circuitry within its specified temperature range, even when the process liquid temperature reaches 225°C. This enhancement will allow customers to apply the high resolution, linearized capabilities of the Max meters to high temperature applications such as hot melt adhesives, molten urethane curatives and heat tracing fluids.
The Model 295 combines 16 point linearization with a user selectable output of up to 1000 pulses per revolution. These features combine to extend the operating range of the flow meter down to 1/1000th of the full flow rate. The microprocessor based circuitry can be programmed to provide any k-factor that the user prefers. This feature makes it possible to set up all of the meters in the plant to have the same k-factor - making spare meters and indicators interchangeable.
