The Noble Don Walker installed two of the Maxim TCF 7.5 units (7,500 GPD) in January 2002. Both units were purchased with the 600 volt Booster Heaters. These units have operated in mud, silt, brackish water, and salt water. According to one of the Barge Engineers, these units have run better than any other watermaker he has seen. He commented that if normal maintenance is performed, the Maxim evaporators will keep running way past the life expectancy.
