MPD introduces a whole new category of battery holders for lithium coin cell batteries.

A hybrid type combining the low cost of retainers with higher reliability then regular coin cell battery holders. Particularly suitable for consumer products like electronic cards, one time use devices, alarm systems, main boards, PND's and electronic toys.

Gliders are available in 20 styles immediately for 10 mm diameter (CR1025) to 24 mm diameter (CR2430). Versions for 6 volts holding two batteries in series also are included in the product launch as previously retainers could not support those applications.

With printed circuit pins or SMD leads most applications can be supported. Made of nickel plated phosphor bronze pressure contacts that offer low electrical resistance and keep a keep a tight connection with the battery by design.

Easily change the battery without tools or instructions due to the intuitive design.

Built in circuit protection eliminates the drawbacks associated with standard coin cell battery holders as the holder prevents the insertion of the battery when upside down. The ultra light weight plastic body has a physical feature for reverse polarity protection.

Delivery is normally from distributor stock or after a short waiting period.
