Background

Our client is one of the largest designers and manufacturers of pressure sensors, transmitters, transducers and devices for the industrial and automotive markets. Their sensors range in pressure from inches of water to approximately 30,000 psi and they have particular expertise in oil-filled and piezoresistive applications. They have revenues of approximately $35MM and produce approximately 750,000 pressure sensors annually.

Challenge

High-performing products…..at a reasonable price. Our client was in search of a pressure sensor with exacting standards in terms of accuracy, stability and reliability. In addition, they desired to work with a stable, experienced partner that would be responsive to their business needs and deliver custom solutions instead of rigid excuses. Lastly, they required a price that would yield reasonable margins in the ultra-competitive automotive and industrial markets.
