Mettler-Toledo Thornton announces a new on-line Boiler Blowdown Conductivity Sensor for industrial boilers. The sensor can measure at saturated steam conditions up to 210 psig (14.5 bar) without cooling the sample. It enables continuous automatic blowdown control which can minimize corrosion and scaling. At the same time it saves energy and treatment chemicals by eliminating excessive blowdown.
For more information about this sensor, download the Boiler Conductivity Sensor Data Sheet and Industrial Boiler Blowdown Control Application Note.
The Boiler Conductivity Sensor is used with the Thornton M300 Transmitter which provides display, analog outputs and alarm relays plus on-off and PID control capability. Another model sensor is used with the Thornton 770MAX Transmitter which accepts four sensor inputs in any conbination of parameters including conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, flow, ORP, TOC, pressure and tank level.
