CommScope, a worldwide supplier of broadband and wireless products was experiencing dust issues at a cable winding station in their North Carolina manufacturing facility. The polymer dust generated from the physical winding of their broadband cable was migrating to other areas of the plant. In addition to cleanup issues, the dust posed a threat to other electrical components throughout the area. CommScope turned to Air Purification, the Micro Air distributor for the region, for a solution to their problem. The customer wanted to fully enclose the process with a fully self contained, quiet dust collector, yet, still be able to see the operation. The Micro Air Clean Air Booth turned out to be the solution that CommScope was looking for. A triple CAB unit providing 13,500 CFM was installed along with a custom lexan panel booth to meet the visual needs of the customer. Regain Air was also used to provide a powerful push-pull dust capture system. The Micro Air CAB units are equipped with our Roto-Pulse filter cleaning technology, offering the quietest and most powerful filter cleaning in the industry. In the end, Air Purification and Micro Air were able to offer a unique solution that met every need of end user.
