Product Announcement from Micro-Epsilon
The Micro Epsilon TIM Infrared Imager is a full radiometric thermographic device, showing temperature images and profiles of the target area to be observed. It is a new state of the art thermal imager with ready to use USB 2.0 interface for real-time thermography with 120 Hz frame rate - up to 100 m cable length. The measurement temperature ranges is from -20 to 1500°C.

The model TIM 160 is the most economic thermal imager. At only 195 gram, sized in a 45x45x62mm IP67 housing it takes real time thermal images a rate of 120Hz with 0.08K(NEDT)
- optics with 72° , 48°, 23° 6° FOV
- analog and digital process interface
The bi-spectral model TIM 200 operates by using new bi-spectral technology that combines two images into one. The compact USB infrared camera in the TIM 200 version is equipped with an additional visual camera that records an IR image and in addition to the real time image. The camera processes image information from different spectral ranges at the same time.
- optics with 80° , 48°, 23°, 6° FOV
- visual image 54°, 30° FOV
The model TIM 400/450is the highest resolution and most sensitive thermal imager. At only 320 gram, sized in a 46x56x90mm IP67 housing it takes real time thermal images a rate of 80Hz with 0.04K(NEDT)
- optics with 13° , 30°, 62° FOV
- 382 x 288 pixel
All the TIM use an uncooled micro bolometer Focal Plane Array (FPA) with 160x120/ 382x288 pixels and a pixel size of 35µm x 35 μm. A range of interchangeable lenses allow the temperature measurements in a variety of object distances, from a close focus, standard focus to a far field focus.
The good thermal sensitivity (NETD 0.04 K with30° FOV) gives the imager the opportunity to show finest temperature details of an object.
The operator can use a flexible spot with cross-hair marking and a fixed measurement area with automatic display of maximum-, minimum- or average value. Temperature profiles along defined lines inside the image can be shown in a separate graph.
The software TIM Connect includes a recording function with radiometric video, snap shot, an analysis and post processing of infrared images and videos. It offers a complete set up of parameters and remote control of the infrared imager.
Beside the digital interface USB 2.0 for image processing an additional Process Interface (PIF out) with 0-10 V analog output is offered. There can be send out such as the temperature of the object or other measurement in formations. A Process Interface input (PIF in) allows analog remote emissivity adjustments.
The Micro Epsilon TIM is extremely lightweight and one of the smallest in the world. With dimensions of 45 mm x 45 mm x 62 mm and a weight of 250g (incl. lens and 1 m USB cable) it fits in narrow spaces and is ideal for use in machines and test stations. The environmental rating is IP65 (NEMA-4).
With our water cooling jacket you can measure in an environment of up to 180C or even in vacuum.
The Micro Epsilon TIM is powered via the USB 2.0 interface with a current draw of maximum 500 mA.
The Micro Epsilon TIM is easily integrated into Windows environments like mini PCs and rail mount PCs. An Ethernet connection to control stations makes the application independent from larger distances. A DLL gives the engineers the opportunity to implement the thermal images of the TIM into customer specific software.
Micro Epsilon provides a complete SDK ( software developer kit ) to embed the IR measurement into your application. WE even offer LAB VIEW interface and support.
