Micronetics features a state of the art calibration laboratory to
calibrate Micronetics brand noise sources as well as sources from other
manufacturers.
Calibration Data.
Merging
integrated sub-assemblies with software making it simpler to
incorporate noise figure measurement functionality into your system.
Excess Noise Ratio
(ENR). This is the primary calibration data required. ENR is typically
calibrated at spot frequency values however Micronetics also offers
swept ENR data from 10 MHz - 26.5 GHz.
Complex Reflection
Coefficients: Micronetics offers its Gamma Calibration Service for
Vector Error Corrected noise and noise figure measurements. Phase and
magnitude data are given at spot frequencies.
Temperature
characterization: Micronetics offers both ENR and Gamma calibration
services at customer specified temperature points from -40 degC to +80
degC.
Data Format:
Micronetics offers calibration data in several formats
Calibration label:
For standard noise sources for benchtop noise figure meters, such as
the Micronetics NS-346 series sources, Micronetics prints the data on
labels which are affixed to the noise sources via adhesive backed
label.
Soft Format:
Micronetics offers calibration data in several text file and .csv
formats as well as in MS Excel spreadsheet upon request. Micronetics
saves all data from calibration services on its servers at the
calibration lab as a back up if the customer loses the data file.
Calibration Standards:
Micronetics' calibration services are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. (NIST)
ENR calibration tractability.
Micronetics Silver
Standard ENR Calibration Service (Typical): ENR calibration service
calibrates noise sources using a transfer standard (Silver Standard)
noise source as a reference. The transfer standard noise source is
calibrated at Micronetics using a "Gold Standard" noise source as a
reference source. The Gold standard noise source is calibrated directly
by NIST.
Micronetics Gold
Standard ENR Calibration Service (Optional): Noise Sources are
calibrated directly with the NIST calibrated gold standard as opposed
to the transfer standard.
Transfer
Uncertainty: Micronetics calibration instrumentation adds between 0.05
and 0.15 dB uncertainty from the reference source. The uncertainty is
dependant on frequency, ENR of the calibration unit and the VSWR of the
calibration unit.
4.0 Calibration Laboratory
Environment. Micronetics' noise source calibration lab is
temperature controlled. ENR measurements are made in an EMI shielded
screen room
Micronetics
certifies that it maintains up to date proper calibration for all test
instrumentation used in its calibration service.
Calibration to Your Requirements
Micronetics calibrates
noise sources in many different configurations including coaxial,
waveguide over frequencies from 10 MHz - 110 GHz. Micronetics performs
special calibration services depending on your needs. For a quote call
