New NZM Circuit Breakers provide excellent protection for control systems in applications from 1 to 1200A with a short-circuit breaking capacity of up to 150kA. Compact and feature-rich, these thermal-magnetic, mag-only and electronic-trip breakers cover a wide variety of applications and customer solutions in just four frame sizes. NZM Circuit Breakers are UL listed, CSA certified and CCC approved, as well as IEC rated and CE marked, making them suitable for use anywhere in the world.

Moeller's circuit breakers and molded case switches feature components and accessories that can be shared among frame sizes. For example, Moeller contact elements (the same elements used with RMQ-Titan control devices) simply clip into the front of every breaker and switch in the entire range. Base plates for coupling rotary handles are the same across the line, meaning faster fitting due to the identical drilling diagram. The reduced number of parts means less inventory expense and effort, and results in fewer errors.

NZM3, NZM4 and, optionally, NZM2 circuit breakers rely on solid-state circuitry for smart electrical circuit protection. These electronic-trip breakers are RMS-sensing and feature adjustable selective coordination, so short circuit tripping occurs at the closest possible point to the fault. This built-in selectivity protects cables, wiring and devices at all levels (with no additional electronic short-time delayed devices), and allows devices upstream from a trip to continue to operate without interruption.

Using Moeller's Data Management Interface, NZMs communicate a continuous stream of information about present load status. Warnings can be issued at 70%, 100% and 120% I_r, helping to enable shorter reaction times to system problems and better planning for preventative maintenance.

NZM operators are durable, ergonomic and come in a variety of choices. The built-in toggle can be switched manually or with an optional rotary operator. Rotary operators can be mounted directly on the NZM or extended through the panel door or wall using optional operating kit. Front-and side-mounted rotary operators are available in black or red and yellow, and are Type 12, and Type 4X rated for secure enclosures in harsh environments. Moeller also offers a remote operator for complete control, even from a distance.
