Speed sensors for applications where the target is a magnet, such as magnets embedded in gear teeth, blade tips, or ring magnets. Ability to sense large air gap distances, depending upon magnet geometry and field strength.
Several options are available and should be selected based upon application setup and target specifications. Offerings are as follows:
- Bipolar Switch requires a target with alternating north and south poles. The output will go to logic 0 in the presence of a south pole and switches to logic 1 in the presence of a north pole. In the absence of a magnetic field the output can be either logic 0 or logic 1.
- Latch requires a target with alternating north and south poles. The output will go to logic 0 in the presence of a south pole and stays on logic 0 until the presence of a north pole then switches to logic 1.
- Omnipolar Switch requires a target with a north or a south pole. The output will go to logic 0 in the presence of either a north or a south pole and switches to logic 1 in the absence of a magnetic field.
- Unipolar Switch requires a target with a south pole. The output will go to logic 0 in the presence of a south pole and switches to logic 1 in the absence of a magnetic field.
Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 150°C
