Multi-Contact USA - Connectors With New AxiClamp Cable Termination

The new AxiClamp termination is Multi-Contact's patented lead connecting system for electrical and mechanical connection of copper leads with cross sections from 6mm² to 300mm² class 5 and class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295, IEC 60228. The individual strands of the connecting lead are screw-clamped against a metal cone by means of a tapered and threaded sleeve. The metal cone is part of the contact body. This guarantees a strong clamp connection with an equally good transition resistance compared to a conventional crimp connection. The AxiClamp has undergone extensive electrical and thermal testing according to DIN EN 61238-1 and mechanical tests in accordance to DIN EN 60068-2-6.
Advantages over conventional crimp terminations:
- No crimping tools required.
- Lead can be disconnected and connectors reused.
- Same AxiClamp can be used for a range of cable cross sections.

The AxiClamp wire termination system is available for insulated and non-insulated cable connectors and can be incorporated into any custom design.
