The assembly's simple, compact design offers a variety of benefits, including easy modification for custom applications. Using the Kerk® patented take up mechanism, the NTB series maintains axial stiffness while system torque is held to a minimum, providing smooth operation and long life throughout its load and speed range. The NTB series assembly has eliminated the need to highly preload the nut to compensate for load.

Haydon Kerk's NTB Series is flexible in terms of material; customers can choose the material that best suits their particular application, i.e. temperature, chemical compatibility, speed, and product life. In addition, the NTB Series does not force manufacturers to increase device size, as the NTB is designed to fit in tight spaces and ensures optimum manufacturing efficiency.

The nut is manufactured with a self-lubricating polyacetal designed to run efficiently on Haydon Kerk's precision rolled shafting. The screws are 303 stainless and are available with Haydon Kerk's proprietary long-life Kerkote® TFE coating, which eliminates the need for external lubrication and maintenance. Available with a triangular flange, round flange or thread mount, the NTB Series can handle a dynamic load of up to 200 pounds. The assembly is available in a variety of diameters and lengths.
