Nabtesco Motion Control, Inc.'s RV-E Series reduction gears incorporate large bearing capacity with high precision in an extremely compact, rigid and torque dense package. External bearings are no longer required as engineers can realize the advantages of Near Zero Backlash, tremendous external load support and arc-second positioning from one complete solution.

The RV-E utilizes Nabtesco's patented high-performance Cycloidal technology to provide high ratios, large e-stop / shock load capacity and high torsional stiffness.

The RV-E can be easily designed into a process to provide the most compact and lowest cost solution on the market.

The highly successful RV-E component version is also available in our RD-E Gear Head version which includes all mating equipment for easy motor mounting.

  • Less than 1 arc-min Backlash
  • Very compact with high torsional rigidity
  • Component in-line version for greater design and space saving flexibility
  • Integrated Angular bearings for large thrust & overhung moment capacity
  • High Ratio availability (up to 185:1) without increasing gearbox size
  • Torque capacity up to 5X rated torque (E-Stop to 400,000 in-lbs.)

Design Benefits:

  • Integrated Angular Support Bearings increase reducer rigidity, as well as provide the reducer with the ability to suport larger external moments.
  • 100% Continuous Contact of cycloidal pin & gear teeth design provides high shock load capacity and very low backlash since forces are distributed throughout the reducer.
  • The Patented 2-Stage Reduction Mechanism reduces vibration due to the lower speed rotation of the two cycloidal gears while the reduced input coupling size lowers inertia.
