The Earth-Rite RTR features a 'Tri-Mode' technology that uniquely ensures that both a good static ground connection to the unit exists and that correct bonding and grounding procedures are carried out before loading or unloading can begin.

Mode 1: Tank Truck Recognition - Confirms that the RTR clamp is connected to tanker truck and not to other grounded or ungrounded objects.

Mode 2: Positive Ground Recognition - Confirms positive static ground connection before connecting truck.

Unless these two conditions are satisfied, loading of product cannot start – eliminating the potential for operator error.

Once the RTR grounding clamp is connected, the local indicator LEDs confirm the grounded condition of the tank truck. Switching of the 'Red' LED to 'Green' LED indicates that internal voltage free contacts to interlocks for pumps, valves, alarms etc are open.

Mode 3: Ground Connection Monitoring - Confirms clamp connection and ground connection is good throughout transfer process by ensuring connection resistance does not rise above 10 ohms.
