Our NEW Flanged Vortex Plate Inline flow meter has a universal design which can be used in many types of process fluids including liquids, gases, and steam lines. The Flanged Vortex Plate can provide a solution for your high pressure to your low-flow applications.

The Vortex Plate Flanged meter can be used as a standard flanged meter or sized to help measure your low flow applications. The vortex plate flanged meter can measure low flow rates 2 to 3 times lower than a standard in-line vortex flow meter. No need to reduce your line sizes, the FVP will allow your customer to install a full size meter where other meters may require multiple line size reductions, in the end reducing installation costs.

Over 30 years of experience has gone into our meter body. The meter body is machined out of one piece of solid stainless steel stock. There are no o-rings or graph oil seals to ware, fail or leak. The internals of the meter body have no holes to clog or edges to collect dirt or bacteria and there are of course, no moving parts.

The element is machined into the body of the meter and its position is permanent and accurate. There are no pins holding in the element which can corrode or move. By machining the element into the body of the meter allowed for a more creative element and tail design. There are radiuses on all points between the element and the meter body which produces a more uniform signal with a high degree of accuracy.

Our dual sensor technology produces two independent vortex signals which allows for signal amplification and common mode noise reduction. Our sensors never touch the process fluid. Our crystal sensors are bonded to a stainless steel wall. The electronics pick up the slightest pressure pulsations through the stainless steel wall generated by the vortices. This design allows our meters to have an extremely low turn down while maintaining an almost unlimited upper end with a high pressure rating.

This meter can come equipped with ANSI or DIN flanges rated from class 150 to 1500 pound applications. For higher pressure applications NICE offers our FVP models equipped with API flanges that can be rated up to 5000 psig. LPIV - LOW PROFILE INSERTION VORTEX METER

The low profile insertion vortex flow meter is a cross pollination of an inline meter and an insertion meter. The purpose is to simplify the installation and eliminate human error when installing a flow meter. The insertion depth is always held to an exact position, and the meter will always point up stream, eliminating calibration variables. The meter has a low profile and can be installed in any orientation, vertically or horizontally around the pipe. Since most problems with the operation of an insertion meter is installation related the start up reliability of the meter reading is very high.

HTIV - HOT TAP INSERTION VORTEX FLOWMETER

Our HTIV is one of the most heavy duty vortex insertion designs in the world today. The vortex sensing element is CNC machined out of one piece of solid stainless steel. The ceramic piezo electric sensors are bonded inside the vortex element which is press fit to the stainless steel insertion bar and completely welded together. There are NO internal o-rings or seals of any kind and absolutely NO leak paths into the sensors or electronics. Our sensors NEVER touch the process fluid giving them an almost unlimited life span.

The Microtel MASS MTX is the latest design in Mass Flow Computing and is becoming a paragon within the industry for complete mass flow computation. The Microtel MASS MTX is loaded with feature rich innovations that will take the headache out of multivariable flow instrumentation.

MICROTEL SMART TRANSMITTER

  • The design of the microprocessor based smart transmitter, "MicroTel", incorporates high density, surface mounted, multi-layer technology.
  • The new design improves flow signals due to poor upstream piping.
  • Many situations where restricted installations would cause a vortex meter to fail are now acceptable
  • 16,000 points of data logging with sampling time from 1 minute to 256 minute in real time
  • Low power, 4-20mA two-wire operation - operating voltage 10 to 30 volts
  • Simultaneously transmits 4-20mA and pulses in engineering units, as well as serial communications
  • The 4-20mA output has conversion accuracy of .025%
  • 2 lines, 16 characters each line, alphanumeric, easy to ready L.C.D. display
  • Continuously displays both rate and totalization including engineering units
