Three types of gears are provided for a wide range of office automation, medical and laboratory instrumentation. The Nidec-Copal 16mm planetary resin gears are ideal for applications where lower audible noise is a major requirement. The HG16-XX-AA brush dc gear motor family possesses gear ratios of 30, 60, 120 and 240. Rated gear motor shaft speeds range from 310 rpm down to 55 rpm. Brush dc gear motor torques vary from 3.45 oz-in up to 6.94 oz-in.

The Nidec-Copal 16mm planetary metal gears are used in applications demanding high shock loads and high torque. Gear ratios of 60, 120, 240, 300 and 500 are available. The brushless gear motors (LB16MG-XXX-CA and CB) and brush dc gear motors (MG16-XXX-AB) provide rated torques ranging from 4.8 oz-in up to 27.8 oz-in with rated shaft speeds varying from 164 to 21 rpm.

The Nidec-Copal 16mm spur gear motors are used in applications with moderate loads where cost is a major concern. Gear ratios for the spur gear motors include 30, 60, 120 and 240 for the brushless HG16-XXX-AA and AB versions and 50 and 120.9 for the brush LA16G-324XX gear motors. Rated spur gear motor torques range from 3.47 to 6.94 oz-in and rated speeds vary from 230 to 185 rpm (dc brush gear motors and 310 rpm down to 55 rpm (brushless gear motors).
