Norton SG BLAZE R980 flap discs in grits 36, 40, 60 and 80 in Type 29 shape has been developed for grinding stainless steel and other hard to grind materials where durability and life are required in the fabricated metal market. Norton SG® BLAZE ™ R980 Speed-Lok® discs in grits 36, 50, 60 and 80 in both TR (Roloc) and TS (Speed-Lok) has been developed for the grinding:

• Metal components including investment castings
• Jet and turbine blades
• Medical prosthesis
• Fabricated metal market parts

These new product features our next generation SG ceramic grain that better resists wear during use, offering faster cut rates and longer life. A new and improved Y-weight polyester cloth finish, a new resin system and a "supersize" grinding aid improves grain retention and provides cooler cutting during the life of the disc. A unique grain side color (Blaze Orange) differentiates Norton SG BLAZE R980 from all other flap disc products in the market today.
