Position Sensors for the Plastics Industry - Shaping the Future
From the Laboratory to the Factory Floor
Wherever industrial machinery operates within an accuracy of microns, you'll find Novotechnik at work. Novotechnik position sensors enable ship rudders to hold a precise course. They are used to alter volume levels and mix sounds in professional recording studios. You'll find them in steel and paper mills, in machine tools, in laboratories – in any application where accuracy is paramount.
Plastics Applications - Shaping the Future
Plastics manufacturing is no longer confined to the manufacture of small parts. Plastics are being used to make automobile doors and bumpers, to house computer systems and appliances. Some of these applications require molds that weigh up to 100,000 lbs. and clamp forces of 200 tons. And, as many plastic manufacturers are being integrated into customer supply chains to provide components on a just-in-time basis, the ability to change tooling and re-calibrate equipment becomes critical.
Novotechnik is working closely with both the manufacturers of injection molding equipment and plastics manufacturers to provide the sensors that play a critical role in mold changeover as well as in maintaining quality standards optimizing throughout.
Injection molded plastics machine using Novotechnik LWH and TLH position transducers. Tight tolerance requirements of the molded products, production in shifts and shorter cycle times in this application required position transducers with high precision and reliability.
The result is a consistently high quality of molded items and a short preparation time during tool changes.
