OKW offer an extensive customizing service on their plastic and aluminum enclosures. The enclosures are supplied fully finished with all the necessary modifications for mounting the PCBs, connectors, displays, terminals and other components.

CNC MILLING & DRILLING

State-of-the-art CNC milling machines guarantee uniformity and high quality finish on all drilling, milling, and tapping processes. OKW'S machines are specially configured for plastic materials.

SILK-SCREEN AND TAMPO PRINTING

Control legends and logos can be printed on any external surface. Depending upon the product and/or location of the printing, OKW use either silk-screen or tampo recess printing to achieve a high quality result. OKW can print to the customer's Pantone or RAL color, or can match to a color sample.

COLOR CHANGES

OKW can supply most of their plastic enclosures lacquered or molded in the customer's corporate colors.

For small batch quantities they can lacquer the cases in the special color using high performance acrylic enamels, 1-K or 2-K. These enamels are specially designed for plastics and provide a tough hard wearing surface finish. For quantities of 200 pieces or more, OKW can mold their plastic enclosures in the desired color. (RAL colors)

For their METcase aluminum enclosures, the company can powder paint in the desired color.

MATERIAL CHANGES

Many of OKW's plastic enclosures can be molded in alternative materials. For example, materials of a higher fire classification i.e. UL 94 V-0 instead of the standard UL 94 HB material.

RFI/EMI SHIELDING SERVICE

OKW offers high performance shielding using the aluminum metalization process. This process creates a conductive layer on the internal surfaces of the plastic enclosure by vacuum deposition of aluminum with a thickness of approx. 2.5µm. This process guarantees a high level of adhesion, and attenuation of 30-40dB in the frequency range from 30 to 1,000 MHz.
