Large scale precision machining: For larger parts or multiple parts from large stock up to 5' x 10' (1.5m x 3m).

This model 60120 JetMachining Center cuts complex flat parts out of most materials including metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, stone and composites directly from a CAD drawing or .DXF file. Extremely hard, reflective and nonconductive materials can also be cut, making it a valuable addition to existing shop capabilities.

No tool changes or complex fixturing dramatically reduces setup times and the smooth finish often eliminates the need for secondary machining.

Abrasivejet Benefits

  • Machines a wide range of materials and thicknesses.
  • Does not create heat affected zones or mechanical stresses.
  • Rapid setup, no tool changes are required.
  • Minimal fixturing required.
  • Leaves behind a satin smooth edge, reducing secondary operations,
  • No noxious gases, liquids, or oils that are used in (or caused by) the machining process.
  • Completes most work below 80 dBa for submerged cutting.
  • Patented "Computer First-Move Later" motion control system including CAD/CAM software with online help.

Standard Features

  • X-Y table with Motorized Z-Axis.
  • Single OMAX MAXJET® 5 Nozzle Assembly including all necessary high-pressure plumbing.
  • OMAX patented motion control system incorporating Windows® XP software.
  • Steel covers protect X-Axis components.
  • Rapid water level control for submerged cutting.
  • Ultra high pressure direct drive pump.
  • Shipped as a complete tested assembly from factory.

Work Envelope

  • X-Y Travel 126" x 62" (3200 mm x 1575 mm)
  • Table Size 144" x 77" (3656 mm x 1956 mm)
  • Material Support Slats 4" x 1/8" Galvanized Steel

The OMAX Mission:

To provide precise, easy-to-use, cost effective, standardized, reliable and high quality abrasive-jet machining systems to the man-ufacturing industry with strong after-sale services.

Powered by your choice of a 30 hp or 40 hp electric motor with variable speed drive, the OMAX pumps operate at pressures from 0 to 50,000 psi (3,450 bar) and flow rates from 0.4 to 0.84 gpm. Their low vibration and quiet operation result in dramatic reductions in wear and tear on the pump and surrounding connections. These rugged pumps simple design makes them economical, reliable and easy to maintain.
