The V series of electro magnetic clutches now includes a "silent" armature option. The unit incorporates a noise dampening plastic disc to help dampen out the high frequency noise and reduce the time of the noise wave by approximately 2/3rds. This reduced noise version was developed to satisfy medical and other consumer related applications in which a clutch or brake engagement noise would be objectionable.

FEATURES

FAST RESPONSE The V series clutches and brakes are dry type single disc units. This ensures fast response in high speed, high cycle applications.

ZERO BACKLASH ARMATURE (STANDARD) The armature is mounted to the hub by special leaf springs to provide minimal backlash and no armature rattle.

AUTOMATIC GAP ADJUSTMENT (OPTIONAL) Automatically adjusts the air gap as the clutch wears during the entire life of the clutch, increasing longevity by 50%.

COMPACT DESIGN The compact design of the VSAU reduces mounting requirements during installation.

QUIET ARMATURE (OPTION S) To help dampen the noise that sometimes occurs during clutch engagement, Ogura has developed a quiet arm option that is available on all V series.

ONE PIECE DESIGN (OPTION ?P) One piece design simplifies mounting.

HIGH AND LOW TORQUE OPTIONS AVAILABLE All units are available with high torque options. Smaller coil units are available with a 10% to 15% overall reduction in length and torque. (Low torque option not shown in the following tables).
