Oil-Rite Corporation has introduced a new method of spraying industrial fluids that produces a highly controlled and predictable result. It utilizes compact positive displacement pumps in a high-speed alternating pattern to produce a sustained spray. The invention was originally intended for use with weld spatter fluid in an automated production line. It has been adapted to such fluids as mineral oil, lubricants, cleaning solvents, and other industrial fluids.
The spray unit utilizes the technology of PurgeX®, which dispenses in short pulses. To achieve a continuous flow, two PurgeX® pumps are connected into a single output and cycled at the rate of twice per second per pump. The pumps utilize positive displacement, which ensures a precise amount of fluid is channeled to the spray nozzle.
In addition to the PurgeX® pumps, the unit comes equipped with a 4-way air solenoid, timer, air regulator, and air gage. Fluid can be supplied by a simple gravity-fed reservoir.
