Omron Electronic Components LLC announces the availability of the G6K-RF-S series of DPDT (2 form C) gull-wing SMD RF relays which take up only L=10.7 x W=8.6 mm including terminals. The length was reduced by 17% when compared to previous versions. These relays handle 1A @ 30VDC discrete load and 1W @ 1GHz high frequency load, with V.S.W.R.≤ 1.2. They are available in 3, 4.5, 5, 12, & 24VDC coil voltage versions and are available with non-latching or single-coil latching options. The G6K-RF-S coil consumes a very low 100mW when operated, and function in an ambient temperature range of -40º to +70ºC. These RF relays' operate and release time is 3ms maximum with an electrical life expectancy of 100,000 operations minimum. Their high frequency characteristics include isolation of 20dB min at 1GHz between contacts, and 30dB at 1GHz between non-continuous contacts. Insertion loss is 0.2dB maximum at 1GHz, maximum transmission capacity is 3W, and maximum switching capacity is 1W.

Typical applications for the G6K-RF-S include measurement and test equipment (ATE), high-speed LAN equipment, cable modems, set top boxes, satellite receivers, and wireless base stations. They are RoHS compliant.
