Omron's ZX-GT high-speed, wide laser beam CCD sensor offers in-line, non-contact measurement accurate to 10μm. Compact size makes it easy to install in tight locations. Setup, monitoring, changeover and diagnostics have been simplified for use by operators with little previous experience or limited skills. Click here for details.
Application Solution
Inline measurement of large diameter pipes with digital micrometers has been costly, clumsy to install and hard to program until now. Omron's new wide laser beam CCD measurement sensor ZX-GT delivers 10 micrometer accuracy measuring pipe diameters up to 500mm. The ultra-compact sensor head and receiver with 28mm-wide beam enables flexible positioning, fitting between equipment. With a 0.5 millisecond (high-speed mode) sampling time, Omron's ZX-GT tested seven times faster than any sensor in its class.
Transparent objects, glass and reflective surfaces do not influence the result, making ZX-GT ideal for positioning and measurement applications found in the Semiconductor and emerging Solar industry. The sensor also accurately measures gaps, width, position, lead pitch, and much more.
The dual display controller and optional PC Smart Monitor software makes setup, configuration, monitoring and diagnostics easy. The "Smart-Recipe" approach simplifies function and parameter settings.
