Ondax's PowerLocker® is ideal for increasing the brightness of high power laser diodes and locking their emission wavelength. The short external cavity enabled by the PowerLocker® provides better mode selection than systems based on Littrow and Littman cavities.
The PowerLocker® is a volume holographic glass grating which reflects a specified wavelength at a given reflectivity. Results from PowerLocker® stabilization with single emitters, bars and stack of bars are discussed in the Photonics Spectra article.
The PowerLocker® is patent protected by U.S patent 5,691,989.
