The DTF16 Haze Control is a precise, inline turbidity measuring system featuring an advanced, triple-beam optical design. Sensitive forward scatter (11°) and standard side scatter (90°) measuring angles allow the DTF16 to effectively measure a broad range of particles that contribute to turbidity and fine haze in the line.
A combination of precise scattering light optics and optimized sensor body geometry prevents external or internal stray light from affecting the measurement. Variable disturbances, e.g. sample color, color changes, and lamp variations have no influence on the measured value.
Maintenance is minimal, since the DTF16 features a drift-free factory zero point and drift-free calibration. The rugged sensor body is constructed of sanitary stainless steel and suitable for CIP/SIP. Welding armatures are available in nominal sizes of DN50 – DN125. Weld ends allow adaptation to any pipe/tube standard.
The DTF16 provides a stable and repeatable measurement that is ideal for filter control applications such as final QA/QC in package release lines. The dual-angle analysis provided by the DTF16 is valuable for other process areas such as centrifugal clarification of extracts or filter cellars.
Drift-free factory zero, drift-free calibration, low maintenance and long-term stability make the DTF16 particularly well suited for use across multiple location and plants. The DTF16 also works well with other optek instruments such as the dual channel TF16 turbidity meter and DT9011 lab turbidity meter.
