As a Safety Solution Supplier, Pilz continues to lead in safety technology. The PNOZmulti, which monitors and controls as few as one and more than 15 safety functions if the expansion modules are used, allows users to reduce wiring and save time and money. Users implement the required functions, such as emergency stop, two-hand control, muting or speed monitoring, not through wiring but by using the simple PNOZmulti Configurator graphic tool. The configuration is stored on a chip card, which allows faster unit swap-out, and may be directly downloaded to the PNOZmulti base unit. Another benefit of the configurator includes flexibility, since a relatively complex safety systems can be configured easily and quickly. Other benefits include low development costs, rapid time to market, and shorter downtimes through user-friendly diagnostic tools. Pilz also offers connection modules for the PNOZmulti that enable several base units to communicate with each other, allowing the units to monitor and control more complex machinery. The modular structure of the PNOZmulti enables users to connect up to six PNOZml1p connection modules to each base unit, allowing both ring and tree network structures to be established. The connection interfaces are electrically isolated, so that data can be exchanged even when machines have different power supplies.

A recognized industry leader in manufacturing standard and custom-designed resistance welding, spot welding, arc welding, and metalworking equipment has installed a PNOZmulti safety system that consists of a base unit that includes a chip card that communicates with various safety devices while also being readable to such plant-wide bus systems as DeviceNet or, where safety is concerned, Pilz's own SafetyBUS p. Safety and standard control functions are configurable through 20 inputs, four semiconductor outputs, and two relay outputs. The base unit is simply attached to a control box's top rail and wired up. Users can save more than 40 percent of engineering, installation and maintenance time and costs.

Pilz products guarantee maximum safety, protecting man and machine and increasing system availability and plant reliability.

Our units meet the relevant standards and guidelines and also have the necessary approvals.
