Panasonic Electric Works Corporation of America has introduced a SUNX brand compound pressure sensor, the DP-100. This series will have an industry first dual display design. The main screen will display the current value and the sub screen will display the threshold value or can be customized to display any 4 characters. The threshold can now be directly adjusted without hitting a mode key. The main screen will have a 3-color display that is easy to view and understand: Green for output ON/OFF, Red for output ON/OFF and Orange for functionality. The DP-100 pressure ranges will be –14.7 to 14.7psi for low pressure (DP-101) and -14.6 to 145.0psi for high pressure (DP-102). A standard version (DP-101/102) will have two discrete outputs (NPN or PNP) and the Multi-function version (DP-101A/DP-102A) will have 1 discrete output (NPN or PNP) and one output that can be used for an analog output (1 to 5VDC) or auto-reference/remote zero-adjust input. The piping specification/port will have 3 choices: R1/8 male thread, NPT1/8 male thread or G1/8 male thread. All ports will also come with M5 female thread. The dimensions are 30H x 30W x 42.5L (mm) and can be panel or floor/ceiling mounted With a resolution of 1/2000, a fast response time of 2.5ms and a list price of $79.00, making the DP-100 series a powerful yet affordable pressure sensor.
