Paramount PDS is innovatively establishing new levels of achievement in producing low volume production parts for highly-specialized applications in the defense and aerospace industries direct from digital 3D CAD solid model input, thus dispensing with the costly and time-consuming process of tool making. Application of selective laser sintering (SLS) a rapid prototyping technology has been certified for aerospace and defense hardware and is successfully transitioning from rapid prototyping into as a mainstream production process.
This is possible due to advancements in materials, SLS process control and integated quality systems and process management. Hybrid SLS materials are resistant to alkalines, hydrocarbons, fuels and solvents, glass transistion (Tg) of 185 degree celcius. Polyamide are structually sound and available in glass-filled or un-filled.
Utilizing recently-developed materials with superior functional characteristics, Paramount engineers apply their mastery of the selective laser sintering process to achieve new plateaus in quality and durability in parts to meet exceedingly demanding specifications in defense-aerospace, homeland security and medical applications.
