Product Announcement from Parker Hannifin / Fluid Connectors / Parflex Division
Ravenna, OH Jul 20, 2012 - Parker Hannifin’s Parflex Division manufactures hoses specifically for harsh environments where agriculture farm equipment is used. These hoses are designed to withstand extreme temperatures without cracking or swelling. Light weight, high-impulse and low volumetric expansion are built into Parflex thermoplastic hoses. In addition, the core tube is extremely clean and provides excellent fluid/chemical compatibility as well as high tensile strength.
Typically, rubber hose layers cannot withstand the rigors of many harsh applications. The hose will delaminate, leading to jacket failure and wire fatigue. With a Parflex thermoplastic hose, the layers are thermally attached during the manufacturing process, creating a hose and jacket that are seamless. In addition, hoses can be bonded together, saving you money by replacing a single-line rubber hose with a pre-made assembly. Not only is the installation costs reduced, but the life of the hose is extended by reducing jacket wear on single hoses.
Specific Parflex hoses for agricultural equipment include HFS, HFS2, D6, R6, 590, 593, 53DM/538DM, 55LT, HLB, 83FR and 520. Sizes range from 1/8” I.D. up to 2” I.D. depending on style. Visit www.parker.com/parflex for technical details.
