Product Announcement from Parker Hannifin / Fluid Connectors / Parflex Division
Ravenna, OH June 8, 2012 - At the Parflex division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, thermoplastic hose is built with a high level of contact strength between the layers of core, braid and jacket. Parflex's unique bonding process creates projections on the outside of the core that extend up into the braid, while the jacket material is forced down into the braid from the outside. For mast hose applications, this is the difference between a hose that can weather harsh environments and continuous flexing. Parflex 53DM Duramax™ hose meets or exceeds SAE 100R18 with a 3000 psi constant working pressure and features a smaller outside diameter and the 55LT hose meets or exceeds SAE 100R7 specifications. Customers that desire a wire reinforced options for this application can choose between our 560 (100R1), 590 (100R16) and H6 (100R17) hoses
Parflex's Over-The-Sheave hoses are second to none. The 53DM, 55LT and H6 hoses that are constructed with copolyester materials that allows for a -70ºF low temperature rating while maintaining great chemical compatibility with hydraulic fluids, making them ideal for use in cold storage or refrigerated areas and the H6 is rated as high a 250ºF too. In addition, the strength member, or braid, is offered in high tensile fibers or high tensile brass plated steel wire and the jacket is produced from a specially formulated material with a high level of UV protection for optimal weather resistance and low coefficient of friction to improve wear.
Sizes range from 3/16" up to 1" depending on type of hose and all of these hoses are available in a single, twin or multi-line design.
